I am a size 42.5 EU with wide feet. I followed the Lake guide. This put me in a size 43 EU. This shoe was too small , even walking on carpet, my toes slammed into the toe end. Tredz were superp and exchanged the shoe for a 44 EU which fitted perfectly. So beware and be prepared to go up a size.
