Specialized S Works McLaren TT Helmet
It’s hard to believe, but an aero Time Trial helmet can save around 30 watts of power – that’s around 10% of their total output. So when it comes to shaving those extra seconds off the results sheet, it’s understandable why teams spend a lot of time and money producing the fastest equipment and bikes.
Specialized have been back in the wind tunnel with F1 car maker McLaren, following the production of their road bike, the Venge. The pair have been working to produce their new Specialized S Works McLaren TT helmet for use by riders Levi Leipheimer and TT World Champion Tony Martin in this year’s Tour de France.
